trainingIn conjunction with Achieve North West and Creativity Works, Preston, Pete Marquis Contractors have undertaken a commitment to train ex offenders and provide opportunities for employment in the construction industry.

The programme involves the participants attending sessions relating to First Aid as well as Health and Safety before completing examinations in both areas.

From this basis, each cohort then take part in a ten (10) day plant operative training programme before becoming CSCS and CPCS qualified.

The final aspect of the training is allowing the ‘trainee’s’ to gain experience on the actual sites. Here they can put their new found knowledge and qualifications to good use.

Pete firmly believes that everyone deserves a second chance in life and if those involved in the programmes can grasp the opportunities on offer, then everyone benefits and everyone is a winner!
